Listeria outbreak in US

A listeria outbreak has caused serious health issues, including the death of an infant in California. At least 10 other people have become sick from eating 🍖 ready-to-eat meat and 🍗 poultry products made by Yu Shang Food, Inc. These products include:

• 🐔 chicken feet

• 🦆 duck neck

• 🥩 beef shank

• 🐖 pork hock

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has reported that over 72,000 pounds of these foods have been recalled due to 🦠 contamination concerns.

The outbreak was discovered after routine tests found listeria in the food and the production area. Of the 11 people affected, 9 were hospitalized. Tragically, a pregnant woman who was sickened lost both of her twins 😔, but only one twin's death was linked to listeria.

Health officials warn that listeria can cause symptoms like 🌡 fever and muscle aches, which may appear days or even weeks after eating contaminated food.

🚨🚨 Consumers are advised to ❄ check their refrigerators for the recalled products and either throw them away or return them for a refund. It's important to 🧼 clean any surfaces that may have come into contact with these foods to prevent further contamination.

Bird flu virus found in raw milk sold at Bay Area

California health officials found bird flu in raw 🥛 milk from Raw Farm LLC, a dairy in Fresno County. The virus was discovered in a sample that public health workers bought from a store. So far, no one has gotten sick from this milk, but officials are looking into how the virus got there.

As a safety measure, Raw Farm is recalling the affected milk, which has a code of 20241109 and a best buy date of November 27, 2024. Customers should return any of this milk to stores for a refund. This news comes as bird flu cases are rising across the country, especially among people who work with infected 🐄 animals.

Health experts also remind people that ⚠ drinking raw milk can be dangerous because it may contain harmful 🦠 bacteria and viruses.

Sony is making a new handheld portable 🕹 gaming console that allows users to play PlayStation 5 games anywhere. Sony’s previous efforts to enter the portable gaming space was the 🎮 PlayStation Portal, the 8-inch gaming device it released last year that wirelessly streams PS5 games from the cloud.

🚀 SpaceX launched another batch of its 🛰 Starlink internet satellites to orbit early Sunday morning. A Falcon 9 rocket carrying 20 Starlink spacecrafts, 13 of which are capable of communicating directly with 📱 smartphones, lifted off from California's Vandenberg Space Force Base. The Falcon 9's first stage returned to Earth about 8 minutes after liftoff.

A recent Google Workspace survey reveals that a majority of young knowledge workers, especially those aged 22-27 (Gen Z), are actively using 🤖 generative AI tools. Among the 1,005 respondents, 93% of Gen Z and 79% of millennials reported using two or more AI tools weekly, such as ChatGPT and DALL-E. These tools help with tasks like drafting emails and taking notes, with 88% of Gen Z willing to use AI for overwhelming tasks.
